Valley Line West LRT Drainage Relocation

Project Overview

Valley Line West LRT Drainage Relocation project involved the relocation of approximately 4km of underground sewer installation using open cut and trenchless construction methods. The Work included shaft construction, construction of a new combined sewer, manhole construction, abandonment of existing manholes, and sewer system infrastructure, as deemed appropriate. The work also included the reconnection of all services to the new sewer lines. The first section of the project involved construction of approximately 774 m long, 7 to 9 m deep, and 1,350mm diameter combined sewer using micro-tunnelling methods and second section consisted of construction of approximately 1,430 m, 6 to 8 m deep 1,350 mm diameter combined sewer by using micro-tunnelling. Open cut construction consisted of construction of approximately 1,040 m total length, 2 to 7m deep, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, 375mm, 450mm, 600mm, and 675mm diameter combined and storm sewers at various locations
